Experience
Benedict Hefford is the lead and central contact for all Zorgo projects, with other experts brought in to support delivery as needed. Benedict has 20 years health and social care experience encompassing executive level operations and strategic roles in both New Zealand and the UK. He is an internationally recognised leader in public services strategy, and has successfully led positive change in complex settings ranging from health promotion to prisons to hospitals.
Most recently Benedict was responsible for community care at Counties Manukau Health, where he funded/commissioned services ranging from Urgent Care to Mental Health to Aged Care, and also had operational management of community health services, acute Hospital at Home ‘beds’, and two community hospitals. Benedict’s previous experience also includes re-designing and integrating community care and social services in central London, as well as developing national health strategies and policy.
